About Ghee Wynwood
Ghee Indian Kitchen is renowned for its modern take on Indian cuisine and emphasis on adapting the menu to the freshest local ingredients. Many of these ingredients come from Rancho Patel, the founder, Chef Niven Patel’s very own farm in Homestead, FL. The restaurant won the MICHELIN Guide Bib Gourmand distinction in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Ghee has become a local favorite and a national staple for modern Indian cuisine ever since it opened back in 2017, with dishes such as the Tuna Bhel and Lam Neck becoming irreplaceable on the menu. Chef Niven Patel has accumulated numerous accolades over the years thanks to Ghee, including four James Beard Award “Best Chef: South” nominations and being named “Best New Chef 2020” by Food & Wine Magazine. Ghee’s co-owner, Mohamed Alkassar, is an acclaimed operator that was a James Beard Award semi-finalist for “Outstanding Restaurateur” in 2023. The duo has taken Ghee to new heights with the latest Wynwood location.
